Platform Overview - Linx 6

Linx is a development platform that uses visual abstractions of programming concepts to build back-end applications.

The platform consists of:

  • Designer (IDE) - Developers use the Designer to develop, debug and test Linx solutions. Like Visual Studio but easier. The Designer is a Windows application.
  • Plugins - Developers can install Plugins to add functionality to use in the Linx solution. Like using npm or Nuget.
  • Server - Linx Server hosts Linx applications. What Apache and IIS are for web applications, Linx Server is for Linx applications. Linx Server is managed with a web interface using any modern browser.
